When Lexie met Alexander at Reading...

Having just arrived back from Reading Festival yesterday I am in still a trance like state as I haven’t had a day off from work in roughly three weeks and very little sleep it has taken me a little bit of time to collate the posts from VFestival (1week ago) and Reading festival this weekend . As I pull these posts together I thought I would share with you scarf that I spotted a girl wearing while watching Muse on Sunday night that I thought you would love ( plus I spotted it a mile away with its legendary pattern) it was the new Alexander McQueen scarf. God knows how this girl got it though instinctively I wanted to climb over the crowd to get a closer look though for you that haven’t seen it here it is... at £290 it is one of his more expensive scarves!

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN EXCLUSIVE MULTI-SKULL SCARF - created exclusively to commemorate Alexander McQueen: savage beauty, the exhibition organized by the metropolitan museum's costume institute in new york. silk chiffon scarf featuring seasonal skulls from previous collections.

It is just soooooo beautiful!....stay tuned for my festival posts to come soon!

Working V-festival...

This weekend unlike the other 65,000 people that have paid to go to the sell out 2day festival and stand in crowds of people like sardines in a can. I am working. Not on toilet duty, not a litter picker upper ( there is nothing wrong with this at all) an no I am not doing security.. I am backstage doing press and artist interviews. A very cool job (bloody hard work and long hours though) I will indeed need some cool outfits to do it in!

I will be tweeting from the festival on my twitter LexieDabney... stay tuned in for news, gossip and outfit choices!

To all those attending this weekend have an awesome time and enjoy being part of the v experience!

What does your t-shirt say about you?

When Justin Beiber step out last week wearing a t-shirt with the a line is taken from the original version of the Cee Lo Green track, ‘Forget You’, and read: ‘F*** you and f*** her too.’ People across the world gasped in horror at this 17yr old sporting a rude t-shirt… well lets say I bet his mum wasn’t please. Though this isn’t a new thing to have something plastered across your chest in support of something or to shout about something. Most of us can remember the ‘Team Aniston’ and ‘Team Jolie’ t-shirts from a while back and Paris Hiltons 'That’s Hot' quote, we all got involved.

I think most individuals see it as an extension of themselves; whether it is their favourite football shirt, cartoon character, slogan or even a brand logo we all own something which shows the world something about us and what we like.. In my case it is my ‘Pacha Ibiza’ vest top that comes out every summer, I have had it for about 5 years and it just reminds me of a good night outs and memories of dancing till the early hours. Though mine was bought in IBIZA you can get one here: http://www.pachacollection.com/womens/tops/sun-tank.html

With this in mind below are some other options that may tickle your fancy this summer:

TOPSHOP: CREAM STONE ROSES TEE BY AND FINALLY Price: £25.00

MISS SELFRIDGE: SLOGAN 'FREE TO BE' CAPE TEE
Price: £20.00

A fun option from Little Chef that I came across , maybe one for the festivals me thinks! modelled by the lovely Danny and James

Street Style: Orange pleats...

Olivia looks chic and girlie in this Whistles skirt, teamed with cream pumps and a little black vest top. I really love the colour of the skirt and it looks good with her summer tan. I personally couldnt wear this shade with my pale complexion and bright orange can be a hard colour to pull off but Olivia manges to do it wise ease.

What do you think of the look?

Street Syle: Parisian girl in London...

French girl in London Marguerite de Tavernost was an intern at my office and I had to share her outfit with you as I loved this jacket!. As well as being an amazing intern on the PR team, she came in to the office wearing some very stylish outfits ( many of which she did answer ' I bought this in France', dashing all hope of me tracking down the piece of clothing). Though this jacket just was beautifully made and had such great detailing on it. However the even better news was that it was bought at Notting hill market in London so I was very happy about that. Marguerite teamed her Jacket with a top from French brand Bel Air and Jeans for Uniqlo.
