Day three at LFW S/S '12: Mulberry.. oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Mulberry always put on a performance, with the catwalk space being engaging, fun and inviting. The Mulberry S/S '12 show was no exception - greeting guests outside claridges was an old fashion ice cream van, then as you stepped through up on to the stair case there were giant ice creams (sadly not real) and then thousands of animal balloons and bright beach balls adoring the walls. When in the main hall you saw the bright colours and a laughing funfair mouth as the catwalk entrance. It all came together... we were at the British seaside!!

Beautiful colours came down in the new catwalk from classic Neapolitan ice cream shade stripes, to a whole host of colourful waterproof cover ups worn over girlie floaty summery dresses and prints depicting carousel animals. I personally loved the bright canary yellow that was very prominent through the collection, just beautiful. Of course, bags are always at the heart of Mulberry collections and this one was no different. the Alexa, Lilly and Bayswater all made an appearance. Though there was a new collection in the form of the Travel Collection, made up of a day bag, oversized travel bag and a very cool edition the camera bag inspired by the old fashion steamer trunks.

Overall a really beautiful collection, well though out and left me feeling really happy and with a slight 'proud to be British' feeling.
