Though I didn't know masses about the duo behind Brooke and Basso, I was excited to see the S/S'12 collection. I did know that Brazilian Bruno Basso and British Christopher Brooke have been the key players in digital printing and front runners since they were pushed into the lime light when they won at London fashion talent contest, Fashion Fringe a few years back. This just made me really keen to see how far they had come a long... and I wasn't disappointed.
Personally I loved the S/S'12 collection and found it all rather beautiful with the complexity of the prints, with the large flower motifs and vivid swirls of bright colours the garments seem to float effortlessly due to being on a light silk/chiffon.
The duo presented everything from long flowing maxi's to tailored short suits. With a wash of tropical bright colours from canary yellow, bold turquoise, lime greens and warm violets it was a wash of colour. I love what these guys do and felt the collection was well put together and made me really excited about next summer! Bring on the patterns.
