As you may have seen from my twitter feeds I spent the Mother's Day weekend in the glorious Cotswolds (a bit of mother daughter bonding time you might say). Looking the part in my Hunter wellies and Barbour jacket we walked round little villages, sampling local produce, drinking a few pints at the local pub...... It honestly felt like I was hundreds of miles away from London and a few days in the country felt like I had been away for 2 weeks retreat. in the countryside. I also was able to for fill my dream of seeing how Kate Moss and the rest of the Primrose Hill possy spend their weekends out of London and I must say I now know why they escape there.. it is really beautiful.
In one of the villages that was made up mainly of tea rooms, antique shops and little galleries. I came across the cutest little shop called As Long as it Sparkles run by the lovely Jody. The store was tucked away in a little courtyard in a village called Stow on the Wold. The little store had a beautiful collection of vintage jewellery, handbags, clothing and retro pieces for the home as well as handmade gifts and jewellery which were really pretty. As you can see from the images.. Jody really knows how to make a beautiful display.
The store has a great website where you can buy online as well as a facebook and twitter feed where they post about new items... make sure to check it out!
What do you think about small little vintage shops setting up in unlikely places? do you prefere to vintage shop online? or in big cities?
