When I think of stripes (one of this summers hot trends) and who has been pushing them onto the high-street recently, I instantly think of Prada. Last year their s/s '11 collection embrace bold nautical inspired stripes, including the classic blue and white, as well as pushing the boat out with bright eye popping orange and acid green. Wishing for us to wear stripes in electric colours and step away from the classic Beneton t-shirts we love so much. I personally love stripes, though stick to the classic thin horizontal blue and white (teaming up with skinny jeans, blazer and either gold jewellery or a big statement necklace for a stylish twist). I always feel lovely in my Topshop stripped T-shirt, as it always gives a really fresh feeling to an outfit, every time I wear it.
So my rule would be, for a working look, keeping the colour pallet low key, and keep the stripe in just one piece is how I tend to play it (like the ladies below).
Are you a fan of stripes? Do you think that can make a curvy girl look too big? How do you wear yours?
