Street Style: Marina rocks knitwear

With the weather remaining bitterly cold for the next couple of weeks, I thought it would be good idea to see what people were wearing to keep stylish in the rubbish weather.

I met Marina near Oxford Circus after a busy morning shopping and wanted to take her photo to show you, as I really liked the way she had pulled together her look. She showed how layering knitwear can really work, through mixing up textures but sticking to a few key colours. Marina looked great in her chunky knit scarf, woolly leg warmers and turban-esc headband. Adding the 80's sequin fluffy black jacket gave the outfit a slightly quirky, retro feel and the satchel bag and wedged boots give the outfit a practical edge..perfect for shopping.

I love knitwear (due mainly to the fact it keeps you warm) but also because it can be so versatile in the types of weave and textures that you can buy. Marina shows that layering it up can be stylish, yet practical and with London Fashion Week coming up I am really feeling a bit like a mum and hoping the fashion pack wrap up warm like Marina, I know I will be!
